Downloading Windows XP for FREE
If Windows XP needs to be installed on your computer and you cannot find or locate the original XP Setup CD, downloading Windows XP will get you out of that hook. You might also decide to download Window XP just to give the OS a trial or to install it on your spare computer. Windows OS can be very expensive and hard to crack so finding a somewhere to download Window XP for free can be somehow difficult and tasking.
There are different places online to download Windows XP, but not with the legal authorization of Microsoft. Some of this online sites are
Window XP is not distributed online so there isn’t a genuine way to download Window XP, even from the software makers Microsoft.
No matter where Window XP is found online, any version of the downloaded OS is likely to be illegal. The only guaranteed, authorized and legal Window XP OS is when you buy a new copy of Windows XP. In essence, Microsoft doesn’t promote downloading it illegally because it’s a loss of revenue for the company.
It’s important to note as well that even if you did download Windows XP for free, what you would get is an image of the Windows XP Setup CD. For example, you would probably download an ISO file like window-XP-pro.iso, or something like that. You would then burn that ISO image to a CD that you would eventually use to install Windows XP.

In actual fact, however, what you actually pay for when you legally buy an original copy of Window XP is the product key (sometimes referred to as a CD key or key code, or incorrectly as the serial number).
This special key or number is a must-have during the installation of Windows XP. So even if you illegally download Windows XP from any online site, you would not be able to use it without a valid XP key code to install and use Windows.
If your Window XP CD is either misplaced or missing but you still have a valid product key with you, you could safely suggest that, since you did actually buy the XP and you have a valid and authentic product key, you should be able to download a Window XP for free CD image from anywhere online and install with the key code. In normal sense, you might not see anything wrong with this, but in the eyes of Microsoft, you have indeed committed an offense.
At this juncture, however, the only genuine and legal way of downloading and installing a Window XP CD is from the legal purchase of the OS from any available Microsoft accredited dealer(S) either online or in store. It is advisable to contact Microsoft directly or through it dealers for a replacement anytime you misplace your Window XP Setup CD, assuming you can show proof of purchase. If you have a major brand computer, you could also have luck contacting them directly for a replacement Windows XP disc.
That is why I’m not that sure about this little guide but as you may feel differently or may have a genuine need for it I’m going to walk you through this completely free and legal way I’ve found to get your hands on Windows-XP. Microsoft may have stopped providing support for the most dominant operating system the world has ever seen but still, it is Windows XP.
It is the Windows-XP Product Key That Available
In many ways, how ever, what you actually pay for when you legally purchase a copy of Windows-XP is the product key (sometimes referred to as a CD key or key code, or incorrectly as the serial number in the cd).
This unique number is required during an install of Windows-XP. So even if you did download Windows XP, you would still need a valid XP product key to install and use Windows in The system.
If you do have your Windows-XP product key but you’re missing your Windows-XP CD, you could argue that, since you did actually purchase XP and you have a valid product key and should be able to legally download a Windows-XP CD image from anywhere.
I tend to agreed with that argument, but Microsoft isn’t quite on board.
At this time, however, the only legal way of obtaining a Windows-XP CD is from a legal purchase of the operating system (OS). I would suggest contacting Microsoft for a replacement Windows-XP Setup CD, assuming you can show proof of purchase. If you own a major brand computer, you could also have luck contacting them directly for a replacement Windows-XP disc or restore disc.
